The 2017 Short Course season is in full swing, and San Francisco Tsunami is representing all across the Bay Area! Tsunami Men finished third place at the 2017 Cal Aquatics Masters Spring Short Course Yards Meet, with more than 60 clubs represented. San Francisco Tsunami started the 2017 competition season with 23 swimmers making a fierce showing at the top swim meets in the Bay Area. In total, Tsunami brought home 21 first-place finishes across three swim meets in January and February. Tsunami dove into 2017 by competing in the Olympic Club Mile. This annual event is one
Dear Membership, During the September 2016 Annual Membership Meeting, the board announced that membership dues were very likely to increase for 2017. The board has now finalized and voted on the dues structure for 2017. Starting January 1, 2017, Tsunami membership will be $60 per month and the quarterly and semi-annual plans are being eliminated.
We are in the initial phase of planning the Tsunami 30th Anniversary party and we are looking for 4-6 volunteers to help plan. Interested members should contact firstname.lastname@example.org Time commitment is attendance of a 1-hour conference call twice a month from July through October, and 1-2 hours committee work between meetings to get the planning completed. Parks and Recreation Department informed us that Martin Luther King, Jr. Pool experienced an mechanical failure in the pump room and the Pool will be closed until further notice. The engineers are working on the problem.
Join your fellow Tsunamis for a BBQ-potluck picnic in golden gate park for food, beer & wine and fun lawn games. We’ll be playing CornHole (the bean bag kind of cornholing), Giant beer pong, Frisbee and whatever fun games you want to bring along J Tsunami will provide the burgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers.
Please note that all practices (EXCEPT for Saturdays) will be moved to Mission Pool for the duration of Hamilton’s closure in May! That’s May 16 to 28! For those two Saturdays (5/21 and 5/28) we will have King only – practices scheduled for Hamilton are cancelled.
