March 2017 Competition Updates

The 2017 Short Course season is in full swing, and San Francisco Tsunami is representing all across the Bay Area!

Tsunami Men finished third place at the 2017 Cal Aquatics Masters Spring Short Course Yards Meet, with more than 60 clubs represented. Thirteen Tsunamis competed, with awesome races by Antonio Azori, Christopher Bardales, Louis Ceci, Raul Colorado, Andrew Cunningham, Taite Darlington, Phil Diers, Jonathan Neumann, Enrique Ortiz, Jason Singh, Alex Solomon, Ryan Thomas, and Long Wu.

Taite Darlington led the way with 5 wins in individual events, while Raul Colorado, Andrew Cunningham, and Alex Soloman also scored first place finishes in individual races. Tsunami relays were a highlight of the day, with Raul Colorado, Andrew Cunningham, Jason Singh, and Alex Soloman swimming the fastest 200 freestyle relay in the entire competition. Antonio Azori, Christopher Bardales, Enrique Ortiz, and Ryan Thomas also posted impressive relay swims and made sprinting look good!

Three Tsunami swimmers also competed at the 2017 Rinconada Masters Spring Short Course Meet on March 11th. Raul Colorado, Andrew Cunningham, and Alex Solomon enjoyed a sunny day in Palo Alto, and each came away with first place finishes in individual events.

Congrats to everyone who competed! Special shout-out to Raul Colorado and Ryan Thomas for swimming their first meets with Tsunami this month!
